My last treatment was on Wednesday January 28th 2009 at Rethink Your Ink in Airdrie Alberta. I am going for my nineteenth treatment on Monday October 26th, 2009.  Hopefully I will be on track to have this completely gone in a few more treatments.

They decided to use a different method of treatment this time around because the ink is getting so light.  It involved more laser pulses at a wider “spot area”.  Basically, he held the laser in one spot until it became uncomfortable and then moved onto the next spot until the tattoo had been completely covered.  He said I should have complete removal after the next 3 treatments… :)

I finally purchased a good digital camera, for those of you who must know, a Canon EOS 50D. I am now taking pictures of my results with this new camera so you can get a better picture of what it looks like. I was using a scanner before, and I don’t think it was really reflecting my results. So here it is, after my 17th treatment.

The Sixteenth Treatment

I wanted to show everyone how puffy my tattoo gets after a treatment, so I did not have this one bandaged up today. Yikes!

I have been hearing stories, and receiving pictures of people who have had their tattoos removed after 2-3 sessions.  For some reason, mine seems to be taking forever.  After a week or so, I will post another picture of my tattoo to let you see how it has healed from this session.  Right now (the right picture) it does not hurt at all, which is surprising, because it looks nasty ;)

I can’t remember much about the fifteenth treatment… I was too busy recovering from a wordpress crash. I can just say that it was pretty much like the last few, just a little painful. Still wondering how many more treatments it’s going to take. Care to place any bets?

The Fourteenth Treatment

Where does the time go? It seems like my appointments are coming up faster each month. The treatments don’t seem to be packing much punch these days. Don’t get me wrong, they still hurt. They just don’t cause the blistering they used to.

I don’t really notice the difference until I see it in the pictures I post.

The Thirteenth Treatment

Another treatment today… I am extremely happy with the results so far. I actually look forward to the treatments because I know I am getting one step closer to being rid of my mistake. My tattoo is almost unnoticeable unless you really look. The yellow looks really bright in the scan, but in real life it is also not very noticeable. I will keep going for treatments until they say further treatment will no longer help.

I had an interesting Saturday last weekend (May 31st). I took it upon myself to get the word out about laser tattoo removal. I decided to visit as many tattoo shops as I could in Calgary and see what they thought of tattoo removals and find out if they had ever seen one for that matter. I wanted to get the word out about my blog and see if the tat shops would point people to it if they were wondering about getting a tattoo removed or faded.

Armed with a before picture that I could hold up to my faded tattoo and some information on the medlite C6 laser, I set out not knowing what to expect. With picture in hand I headed into my first tattoo shop. Shot down in flames!!! The owner of this particular tattoo shop was shaking her head in disbelief at the fact I would get a removal done. She said that she recommends people get a “cover up” done and that she was not interested. She had an iron will when it came to shutting me down.

I was thinking to myself, is this what it is going to be like all day? Getting looked at like I was insane for having a tattoo removed, and wondering why I was visiting shops that put them there in the first place. I shook the thought from my head and went to 14 more tattoo shops that day.

To my surprise, all 14 said yes. What luck to get a no on the very first one.

Most shops were very accommodating and I had a blast talking with everyone. I have put a link on my site to all the shops that were nice enough to take time out of their busy day to talk to me. I have noticed an increase in traffic since that day, so it looks like the word is getting out.

I am not done yet, there are still a bunch of shops left in Calgary that I did not have a chance to get to (who knew there were so many?). I should be getting to them next week sometime. I will be seeing you soon, so be nice… you never know when you are going to end up on someones blog ;)

Hi all, thanks to Barb, I was able to video tape this session. Here it is below.. you can hear the snapping and the conversation as it is happening, so I really don’t have to describe it.

A big hi to the people at http://www.skindeep.co.uk/forums/ , I had a blast talking to everyone there, got insulted a few times and had some laughs, what more could you ask for? So if you are a tattoo freak check it out.

Wow, 11th treatment. Not much to say about this treatment. Barb just worked on the black, there were no blisters this time. The purple part in the hood of the snake still looks a little red, even in the after picture which I took on April 10th. The yellow looks darker again in the after picture.

I get a lot of email thanking me for the information on this web-site and a few people have sent me before and after shots of their removals… both good and bad. I really find everyone’s story really interesting and I want to start sharing them on this website, so if you are interested in having your story and tattoo online drop me an email at jason@evil404.com , I would love to hear it, as I am sure, so would a lot of other people.

The Tenth Treatment

The tenth treatment was not too bad. A little bit of pain and a little more of my tattoo gone. She worked on the purple part of the cobra’s hood this time. I am sure people that see it on the street are wondering if I have some sort of disease ;)

As you can see, I have added google ads back to my website. I did not know that you can actually block ads that you don’t want on your site. I am going to do this for all ads pertaining to home removal products…(because they are a rip off and don’t work) so you might see links to them, but not for long. What I am hoping happens is tattoo removal clinics in your city will show up in the ad box and you can contact them, a win win situation.
